The Sienna Residence

Architecture is often about more than just structure; it is about legacy and connection. Set against the lush, tropical backdrop of Piravom, Kerala, The Sienna Residence is the first half of a deeply personal dual-home development. Commissioned by two siblings building adjacent houses in loving memory of their mother, the project was conceived to foster family proximity while allowing each home its own distinct architectural identity.

As the first of the two sibling homes, The Sienna Residence commands the site with an expansive, wide façade defined by strong horizontal lines. Deep, sweeping overhangs give the building a striking, modern silhouette while serving as a highly functional response to Kerala’s climate, providing essential shade and shelter from the monsoons.

To balance the contemporary, geometric massing, the home is wrapped in a deeply warm and inviting color palette. The rich, earthy textures of the exterior cladding, which inspire the residence’s name, stand in beautiful contrast to the crisp, minimalist white framework. The result is a home that feels highly sophisticated and forward-looking, yet warmly anchored in its environment, a fitting, enduring tribute to family roots.
